Hebrews 4:15 states Jesus was "tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin." He is our High Priest whereby we may find consolation. We can use his life to model our own lives after as he has overcame every temptation.

In Luke 4, Jesus was tempted by Satan to throw himself off the Pinnacle of the temple. The Bible does not use the exact word suicide, but we can understand this verse by putting it into the right context. He was a man who had natural tendencies. He had human emotions, and shared the same natural limitations as every man. If he had thrown himself off the temple, he would have died. Jesus overcame this thought of suicide by vocalizing his rebuke against this particular spirit. Through Jesus death we have overcame every demonic spirit. We have spiritual authority to conquer all demonic forces in our lives. The key is to do exactly what Jesus did, which is to stop the thought from running rampant and to declare God's victory in that area.

If you resist the devil and submit to God, he will flee.
James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
