Why the Apostle Paul Calls All Christians "Saints"

When we fail morally, we often are quick to say, "I am no saint." We think of a saint as a super-Christian. However, the apostle Paul thinks differently. A "saint" is anyone who has believed in Jesus Christ for salvation. This is why he is able to address some really weak and messed up believers in the church at Corinth as "saints." The importance of Paul's distinction is that the focus is not on us at all but on what God has done for us in Christ.
