Immortal Water, is a series of shows with traditional music that took place on Radio Chalkida. The music and lyrics were edited by Dimitra Marmarinou.
The specific show entitled "Asia Minor Hail" is dedicated to Saint Gregory of Kydonia.

He was a Greek theologian and bishop of Asia Minor, who served as Metropolitan of Tiberiopolis and Stromnitsa in Macedonia and later as Metropolitan of Kydonia in Asia Minor, where he witnessed the events of the Asia Minor Catastrophe.

The year 1922 made constant appeals to the elders of Kydonia for the Greeks to flee the city to Mytilene to be saved from the impending massacre, but unfortunately it was not heed, with the result that on August 22, 1922 the naughty Turks massacred 4,000 Greeks.

Saint Gregory himself managed to get Greek ships with an American flag to pick up 20,000 of the 35,000 Greeks in his wider metropolitan province. He refused to run away with them. He was arrested by the Kemalist army on September 30, 1922 and after torture, he was slaughtered along with dozens of priests, the city's nobles and many of his fellow citizens on October 3, 1922.
