1.2 hp Outboard. 50 hrs, still running. Nice day, out on the lake.

This motor has about 50 hours, divided on two seasons, on it's back now. It's still running good due to the changes and maintenance I have done. The things I recommend every owner to do is:
* Change the propeller to a smaller two blade. You will get higher speed, lower fuel consumption and prolonged engine life. Win, win and win!
* Check that the bearing for the clutch drum is greased. Mine had nothing in it and got destroyed within a couple of hours. I put a proper bearing in (IE. not Chinese).
* Check that the splines of the drive shaft engages properly in the clutch drum (look for wear marks). Cut the leg/tube CAREFULLY until they do.
* Change motor oil often, especially in the run-in period (at least ten hours). If you have a genuine Honda GX35, follow the manufacturers instructions.
