Hiking Reed Lakes Trail in Alaska

In this video we hike up Reed Lakes Trail in Alaska. Reed Lakes trailhead is located two miles up Archangel Road off Hatcher Pass Road, just a short 30 minute ride or so up from Palmer, Alaska. The hike starts off easy, but gets steeper and rockier as you go. About 2.5 miles in its gets very rock with larger boulders. It was at that point that we chose to turn around as the weather was beginning to deteriorate and we were not fully prepared for cold rainy weather. The Reed Lakes trail scenery is just epic. There was very limited hikers on the trail and a few rock climbers that we got to watch make some shear rock wall ascents. I highly recommend this hike. Well worth the effort.
