One Minute Piano - Beginner Lesson 7
In Beginner Lesson #7 of One Minute Piano you will learn the E major chord with your right and left hands.
In this lesson you will be introduced to a new sharp — G#, which is the middle note of the E major chord.
To get an in-depth understanding of music, the study of chords is imperative. Chords are the key component to every song ever written. This is the reason why I will focus on teaching you basic chords for your right and left hands for the first month of lessons.
If you are a vocalist, you will play mostly chords with your right hand and simple bass notes with your left hand.
If your main focus is to accompany yourself or another vocalist on piano, then you should check out my channel, One Minute Piano For Singers…

However, if you are not a singer and have no plans to accompany a singer, then you are at the right place.
Of course, if you truly want to be a well rounded musician, you can always subscribe to both channels. Remember, each daily lesson is only one minute in length.
The video lessons at One Minute Piano are designed to help busy people of all age and skill levels learn how to play the piano.
Many people today don’t have time to attend piano lessons in person — nor do they have the time to practice an hour every day.
The video lessons at One Minute Piano are designed to provide short bursts of instruction that can be learned VERY QUICKLY.
Even though I will be uploading a new one minute piano lesson every day, you can progress at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Each video lesson will feature On-screen EZ Read Sheet Music with the letter name of each note displayed inside each note head.
This will reduce the time it takes to learn how to read sheet music from the usual 3 to 5 years, to a matter of a few months.
An interactive piano keyboard will be displayed at the bottom of each video showing where each note in the sheet music is located on the piano keyboard.
At the bottom of every video lesson, I will include an interactive piano keyboard displaying blue keys to represent right hand notes and gold keys to represent left hand notes — thereby making it much easier and faster to distinguish right hand notes from left hand notes.
To keep each video lesson as short as possible, commentary will be kept to a minimum, which won’t be a problem since each lesson is designed to be extremely intuitive.
Of course, if you have a question, please post it in the Comments Section. I will respond to all comments within 24 to 48 hours. Thank you for your interest in One Minute Piano and One Minute Piano For Singers.
For anyone who has subscribed to One Minute Piano For Singers in addition to One Minute Piano; you may have noticed that the lessons are very similar.
On both channels I will be focusing on chords, but the main difference is vocalists will put a stronger emphasis on playing chords with the right hand.
Non-vocalists will focus on playings chords with the left hand while they play the melody with their right hand.
Vocalists normally DON’T play the melody on the piano…they sing it.
Enjoy!
