Political Preaching in Shows is Terrible

I don't like getting preached to. If a story or character in a show is well thought out and compelling, I don't mind and can gain insights into the agendas that are being communicated, even if I disagree. I take examples of political preaching in shows, God’s not Dead, Saints and Solders, Dr Who, Star Trek TNG, Arthur, and Glee. Some of these are done well, others are done horribly. But in my opinion, good entertainment can have an agenda, and the best entertainment always has an agenda. Because the most impactful works of art are those that are enjoyable, but also help you to think about and process the world around you and its problems.
