People Make Bad Choices When They’re Mad or Scared or Stressed: Quarantine Edition

A response to the change.org petition that condemns the greeting families of missionaries returning home from the Philippines at the Salt Lake City Airport. What it comes down it, people make bad choices when they’re mad or scared or stressed. Should they have gathered and greeted their family like they did? No, it wasn’t very safe. But also, who can blame families for bending the rules a bit because they were anxious to see a child return home safely after so much time apart and so much uncertainty and worry? As usual, it’s complicated, and there’s two sides to every story.
