Artificial Intelligence (AI) is almost ubiquitous in our world today. Your SIRI and Amazon Echo are types of AI. The emergence of more advanced AI is on the immediate horizon. There is going to be a moment when the AI gains some kind of consciousness. This is what is referred to as the SINGULARITY.
