The Real DEA Narcos from Netflix - Steve Murphy

Steve Murphy and his partner, Javier Pena, served long careers with the Drug Enforcement Administration, advancing through the ranks to attain appointments in the Senior Executive Service. While assigned to the DEA Bogota Office, Steve and Javier worked as the lead DEA case agents in Colombia who successfully targeted the world's first narco-terrorist, Pablo Escobar and the Medellin Cartel. The hit Netflix series "Narcos" is based on their efforts to capture the Colombian drug kingpin.
Steve worked undercover sting operations in Miami, and was eventually dispatched to Colombia where he worked with partner Javier Pena to track Escobar.
