Jim Thompson House Museum in Bangkok, Thailand

The Jim Thompson’s house is a Thai house owned by James H.W. Thompson, an American entrepreneur who founded the world renowned Jim Thompson Thai Silk Company .

In 1967, Jim Thompson went on holiday at the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. There he set out for a walk in the surrounding jungle and never returned, thus, marked the beginning of the Jim Thompson legend.

The Jim Thompson House is a museum in central Bangkok, Thailand, housing the art collection of American businessman and architect Jim Thompson, the museum designer and former owner. Built in 1959, the museum spans one rectangular rai of land.
