Testimony- The Gospel of Luke- The Encouragement Among Believers (Luke 1:39-56)

Christianity is not an emotional movement but is based on historical events. Our faith is not based on feelings or incantations; it is based on facts written in Scripture. Luke, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, methodically documented the testimony of eyewitnesses of the life of Jesus, so that we may believe. Is Christianity accurate? Is the Bible true? Are the stories in the Bible about real people? Was Jesus Christ real? We answer all of these questions as we take a verse by verse look at the Gospel of Luke.

This sermon covers Luke 1:57-80. God had promised that a forerunner of the Messiah would come. God kept his promise as John is born. Zachariah, who was previously mute, now is able to speak and his words celebrate the goodness of God. They also speak prophetically, not just for his time, but also for us today.
