The Pioneer Mother Memorial is a statue inside Penn Valley Park in Kansas City Missouri, close to the Liberty Memorial. It was sculpted by Alexander Phimister Proctor, and it portrays Howard Vanderslice being carried as a baby to Kansas City. The statue was dedicated in 1927. The statue is made up of bronze metal, Minnesota pink pearl granite, with a concrete base. The weight of the statue is approximately 16,000 pounds. I shot this video on a beautiful cloudy day, Saturday, November 14th, 2020.

Inscription:

"Whither thou goest I will go
Where Thou lodgest I will Lodge
Thy people shall be my people
And thy God my God."
