Small Town People Friendliest | Southern Hospitality, Tulsa, OK
People sure do seem to be nicer in small towns. Why is that? I have heard of small town hospitality, but I really witnessed it today in Tulsa, OK.
I really like Tulsa. The small town people there are really friendly. We went to Coney Islander and they gave us our meal for free. I made a joke and they laughed. Try that in Chicago or New York. It's true, small town folks are nicer and more friendlier.
I think it's because there is less stress in a small town. If you live in a populated area, you will encounter big city stress. There is so much traffic in the big cities that you will constantly be trying to get home to your family.
I think there are advantages and disadvantages to living in a small area around small town folk. If you are older and more established, it's nicer to live in the south where people are more friendly.
If you are young and single, you may like the big city lights and night life. I am over forty. So, I prefer small town and nicer, friendlier people. It's as simple as that.
