Skurfing the Day Away

In 2011, a preteen gets bizarre skates for Christmas. These skates had no straps to hold his feet firmly to the skates. Each skate only had 2 wheels to balance on and maneuver. The inventors called them skurfs, a cross between skating and surfing. These skates never gained in popularity and faded away.
