Faking Authority, Destroying Merit

How the Left creates fake authority figures through the continuous promotion and praise directed only towards those who push leftism. This artificial elevation of left-wing figures is done with the intention of making their activists appear more credible than they are and enhance their cultural influence. By doing so, they can make sure those with the most cultural power are exclusively Left and can then leverage their unearned platform to promote more leftism. This process gradually erodes away the concept of merit. By undermining merit in terms of importance, the requirements for advancement become subjective—enabling the Left to continue to elevate activists masquerading as experts. These prestigious credentials and awards were previously based on merit, but by obfuscating the requirements for receiving such honors, they can easier grant the prestige to their own.
