Recorded as pilot in 1983, released on VHS in 1985

This was the original pilot of the Kids Incorporated series which was shot in 1983.

Mickey has the hottest band in the neighborhood, and tries to audition for a permanent job of performing at the local malt shop (precursor to The P*lace). Gloria wants to become a part of the band, but Mickey refuses to let a girl join. Gloria's best friend Renee and her little sister Stacy decide to help Gloria get in Mickey's band.

Starring Stacy Ferguson (aka Fergie) as "Stacy", Marta Marrero (aka Martika) as "Gloria", Renee Sands(trom) as "Renee", Jerry Sharell as "Mickey". The other band members are Daniel (played by Daniel Howes), Chris (played by Christopher "Chris" Robin Miller), T.J. (T.J. Buxton), Tino (Tino Saiki) and Jenifer (Jenifer Summerhays). Soda jerk Mike was played by Michael Lewis. The latter cast did not join the regular series. Rahsaan Patterson is "The Kid", the new kid in town who wanted to audition, but was too shy to do so. His parts and plot line were taped after the 1984 season ended and were added to the pilot for home video release as the original pilot was never picked up by a major TV network nor ever saw air time, yet despite this, the series picked up in syndication in 1984 with Stacy, Gloria, Renee, Mickey AND The Kid as the main characters, but with all new dancers/backup musicians and soda jerk "Mike" (Michael Lewis) was replaced by "Riley", played by Moosie Drier.

Action VR TV, the television broadcast arm of Action VR Network, is looking to bring the show back... IF we can work out the music rights situation and other individual rights issues that are preventing this classic series from returning to TV and being made available on DVD and Blu-Ray.
