Utah Attorney General Admits Ignoring Job-Related ID Theft By Illegal Immigrants
During an immigration debate, the Utah Attorney General (Mark Shurtleff) noted that his office has taken action against some identity theft involving credit and homes by illegal immigrants but then dismissed job-related ID theft by illegal immigrants drawing boos and guffaws from the audience.
The fact remains, job only ID theft is still incredibly destructive to the victim, who are often children (children's IDs are the most sought after by ID dealers). Clearing your ID, takes years to clear up and has long term consequences including destroyed credit, medical records corrupted (with life-threatening consequences) especially as social security records are corrupted.
