Ozzy Goes to School

Ozzy is a 9-year-old rescue horse. I'm training for a client. He's been broke to ride, but coming from a rescue situation he needs a lot of work.

In this video, everything is new to him. I'm showing a lot of patience and using a lot of repetition with Ozzy to help him learn that he can trust me while not letting him get away with incorrect behavior.

We are working on ground manners, standing still while a rider mounts, and responding to my voice and leg pressure. You will see Ozzy gain confidence and start to relax as we work. I'm using a figure 8 drill to teach Ozzy today. When he does well, I show him affection. When he doesn't do what I ask, we stop and repeat the process
