Seared Ahi tuna with 2 sauces

Seared Ahi Tuna steaks with a Lemon-wine sauce and Cilantro-Lime-Jalapeno sauce.

Seared Ahi Tuna

3 tuna steaks 1- 1 1/2 inches thick

Marinade-

1 medium onion chopped
6 garlic cloves-
1 Tbsp cumin
1 Tbsp paprika
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp black pepper
2 tsp salt
2 tsp seafood seasoning-like old bay
1/3 c chopped cilantro
¼-1/2 c olive oil
1 lime- juced

mix all ingredients together put tuna steaks in and marinade for at least an hour, turning after 30 minutes.

Cilantro-Lime-Jalapeno Sauce

1 ½ c sour cream
2 limes- juiced
1tsp rice wine vinegar
½ c cilantro chopped
1-2 Tbsp jalapeno finely chopped

mix all ingredients together and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Cook the tuna in a hot pan on medium-high heat in a couple tablespoons of olive oil..3-4 minutes on each side depending on how done you like your tuna.

Lemon-wine sauce

¼-1/2 c white wine-Chardonnay
2 Tbsp butter
½ juice of lemon
salt
pepper
The marinade that the tuna was in.

After cooking the Tuna steaks, in the same pan add the remaining marinade. Deglaze the pan by adding the wine. Add lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste, and butter. Bring to a boil to thicken.
