Same day comparison to a Taurus 38 special/357 magnum revolver with a 6½” barrel. The Tokarev has a 4.6” barrel. I like both guns and find good groupings with each one. Hitting a few bullseyes. Both are relatively heavy which helps to absorb recoil. The Tokarev shoots 7.62x25 mm cartridges which are high velocity and feel similar to the 357 magnum with the revolver. The 38 special loads are much quieter.
