Winter Fat Biking down Gold Run road to Preston Town site

Winter Fat Biking in Breckenridge is a great addition to the skiing activities in Breckenridge. The Gold Run Nordic Center offers fat biking from their lodge off Tiger road which includes rentals and rentals can be found in town as well.

The Town of Breckenridge has been grooming trail by snowmobile for the past few years and lays track down on Gold Run Road, Dry Gulch road, Upper Fume and Tom's Baby in the Gold Run Nordic Center area. French Gulch includes the B & B, Turks, and the Sally Barber trails. Boreas Pass road is also accessible to Bakers Tank and the Baker tank trail.

The top of the Turks trail before reaching Sallie Barber get windblown and impassible quickly so is hit or miss. Which ever area you plan to explore keep an eye out for moose and give them plenty of room on the trail. It is best to turn around and leave if possible.
