I remember the last night I ever heard the howls coming floating down off the mountains, over the fields, and into my room as if they were meant for me…, it was truly frightening for sure.
It was 1981, the last year we’d live there. My dad had finally decided to sell the small farm to a young couple from up north, and we would move to town. And I have to say, I was happy about this fact, very, very happy.
