How to fix an N64 with no image or sound *Black screen

If this doesn’t work for you then there is a capacitor and/or a chip that is faulty.
I opened a non working nintendo 64 to find it was used as a roach motel.
The reset button was stuck and the unit only provided a black screen when booted up with a game.
After cleaning the pin connector with 91% Alcohol and a toothbrush, I then scrubbed the area under the pin connector (on the mother board) with Alcohol and a toothbrush. This tactic fixed the black screen.

You will need a 4.5 gamebit screw driver to open up the N64.
