"In this video we go over removing the transmission oil pan, draining the fluid, putting the tranny oil pan back together, and filling the transmission oil fluid. The transmission oil pan replacement came with the gasket seal which made for a simpler installation. The transmission oil pan screws can be a little tricky. They should be cleaned and hand tightened a few threads to allow for maximum play in the rest of the screws. The extra wiggle room will allow for the screws to go on properly without being stripped. Also, it's plastic so you should be careful not to over tighten the screws because you can break right through the plastic.

We highly recommend getting an electronic pump to get the oil into the oil pan, it will save tons of time with the whole removal and replacement process. In the 2nd round of pumping transmission oil fluid while the car is turned on, we recommend someone shifting through the gears to maximize the amount of fluid in the transmission. Follow the specs for your model, for the long body (Li) it took about 10 quarts of oil.
