South Africa - Cape Town - 18 February 2020 - The City of Cape Town have won their high court bid to remove a group of refugees who have been camping at the Central Methodist Mission Church in the Cape Town CBD since October 2019. The City charged that the group has violated bylaws by urinating and defecating on private property, which drew a plethora of complaints from nearby hotels and businesses. Judge Daniel Thulari ruled that the refugees currently living on the private premises must vacate the space, but demanded that the City provide a suitable facility to begin a screening and administrative process in line with refugee laws.Video :Lubabalo Poswa /African News Agency(ANA) (btP)
