Thank you Health Care Workers
We wanted to put out a Thank You Challenge to all the teams and organizations who are also staying at home right now. The challenge was given to our 9U team to send in clips of them at home to say thank you in their own little way to the people making sure we are all cared for in these trying times.
These 12 boys went from seeing each other 4+ times a week to zero. And it’s about more than not getting to play the greatest game in the world, it's also about hanging with your best buds, showing off the latest Fortnite dance, or eating some burgers and shakes after the game...win or lose. This was our small way to get them involved, to keep them together as a team while maintaining social distancing, and to hopefully help them appreciate the sacrifices that a lot of people are making to keep them (and all of us) safe.
Schools and stores will re-open, restaurants will serve food inside again, we will go back to work full time, and we WILL get to play baseball this year. But right now, we all need to remember that this is bigger than any one of us. By closing schools, by closing stores, and by canceling baseball, we are part of something bigger than ourselves. WE, is greater than, me.
❤️ GBC 9U Baseball boys and their families.
