Financial Focus for Sept. 16

New numbers from the Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation (DETR) reveal the state added about 6500 jobs in August. That job growth helped lower our state's unemployment rate from 14% to 13.2%. However, our state has lost more than 133,000 jobs in the last year. And the unemployment rate is nearly 10% higher than it was at this time last year.
