Making Milwaukee the Most Accessible City!
Last month Bradford Beach became the country's most accessible beach. A ramp and sand wheelchairs were added to welcome more people to enjoy Lake Michigan up close. Now the Ability Center and Milwaukee County Parks are collaborating on another RampUp project: a Universal Park! Damian Buchman, Founder & Executive Director of The Ability Center and Guy Smith, Executive Director of Milwaukee County Parks joins us to talk about their new effort to make Milwaukee more accessible! You can add your input on the park by joining in on Damian and Guy as they co-host a live & virtual “Walk in the Park” from Wisconsin Avenue Park to engage the community in the discussion, design, ideas, and development of the park. You're invited to the "Walk in the Park" live and virtual discussion this Wednesday August 26th, 4-5PM, at Wisconsin Avenue Park. To make it even sweeter, a Traveling Beer Garden opens immediately after!
