Cute squirrel at the birdfeeder at Our Wildlife Oasis - 17th July 2020

Another beautiful encounter at Our Wildlife Oasis. A grey squirrel monopolizing the birdfeeder to eat the yummy fatballs. The squirrels love the suet balls as much as the birds. I love how it tries to wrestle the metal holder trying to get the balls out of it.
This is just one of many garden visitors in our Wildlife Oasis in Berkshire, England during the summer. Grey squirrels are common in British wildlife. Whenever I fill up the food cage, it only lasts up to 3 days and gets depleted quickly by the squirrels and birds. We try not to overfeed the animals as we do not want them to become dependent on us, so in between we take breaks and not put any food out so they learn to look and forage for other food sources as well.
