This Masquerade By Paula Harris at Blue Note

If you like ballsy chick singers with big voices making a jazz cover their own- this video will make you very happy. This is not "laid back". Paula Harris & Crew attack this song! And the fact the "Crew" is a seriously show-stopping band makes this moment what musical synchronicity is all about

This is a Clip from that show at the Blue Note filmed by attendee Patricia Rahn. The song is the iconic Leon Russell composition "This Masquerade" ( Made most famously by George Benson)but covered hundreds of times by many famous voices. Benson's version was one of the first songs to top the billboards charts in the jazz, R&B & pop genres. This is the last 2 min of the tune when the band really got going. Featured in the band are Nate Ginsberg on Piano, Rob Rhodes on Drums, and Rich Girard on Upright Bass.
