A Message of Hope to Others Struggling with Alzheimer's
Marty Schreiber, the former Governor of Wisconsin, wished he was better prepared when his wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He was inspired to write a book about the experience of living and loving someone with Alzheimer's and has traveled around the country teaching others. We spoke to him about his book My Two Elaine's and how he spreads hope to other struggling caregivers. Hilarity for Charity (HFC), the non-profit founded by Seth Rogen, Canadian comedian, actor, screenwriter and film producer and his wife, Lauren Miller Rogen, has launched its inaugural Summer Series Book Club in partnership with Alz Authors. HFC’s stated mission is to care for families dealing with Alzheimer’s, educating young people about living a brain-healthy life and activating the next generation of Alzheimer’s advocates. The book club's selection for July is My Two Elaines, written, by former Wisconsin Gov. Marty Schreiber and Cathy Breitenbucher. The book will be featured and discussed at 11 a.m. (CT) on Monday July 20. Registration is free on HFC's website by clicking on July book selection or register here on zoom.
