#ProudlyTogether to Support the LGBTQ Community
In recognition of Pride Month, there’s a local nonprofit launching an important campaign to assist local LGBTQ-supportive organizations. Courage MKE, a nonprofit that serves housing and resources for LGBTQ youth, has started the #ProudlyTogether campaign. This $50,000 campaign will support dedicated organizations who have worked in recent months to ensure community needs, such as mental health programming, HIV education, and housing resources. Through community support, all money raised will be divided equally among five organizations: Diverse & Resilient LGBT Community Center Courage MKE Our Voices Milwaukee Pathfinders Brad Schliakowski, Executive Director, joins us to talk about the campaign and why it is so important for the wellbeing of the LGBTQ community. The campaign runs through July 15th. To be a part of the cause or donate, visit CourageMKE.org/get-involved.
