Independence community honors fallen firefighter Jameson

Independence Fire Department Hazardous Material Technician David Jameson Jr., 52, who died earlier this month on a service call, was laid to rest Monday. Jameson, who spent 23 years with the Independence Fire Department, collapsed and died May 7 responding to an illegal backyard burn.
