Ralph Reed: Supporting Trump doesn't mean I sold my soul
Christian political consultant Ralph Reed wants to dispel the notion that evangelical support of President Trump is solely about the president's help in pushing the evangelical agenda.
Reed, the founder of the Faith and Freedom Coalition and former head of the Christian Coalition, isn't an apologist for the president's moral failings, however, believes that Trump's pro-life, pro-family, and pro-religious freedom stances are the result of a genuine religious conversion.
"I think his conversion was one of the heart, not just the head," he told David Brody on his Pod's Honest Truth podcast.

"I can't judge a man's heart, and it doesn't really ultimately matter to me as long as he keeps his word, whatever the reason is, but I became convinced that his movement in our direction was a change of heart," he said.
Reed talked about his new book, “For God and Country: The Christian Case for Trump,” where he lays out the argument for evangelical support of Trump in 2020 in order to preserve religious-right gains and protect religious liberty.
