This is the moment cops and medics applaud a 100-year-old woman who is returning to her care home after battling COVID-19 in hospital for nearly a month.

The centenarian, named Carmen, who suffers with other health conditions and is dependent on others, has returned to the DomusVi San Lazaro retirement home where she lives in the city of Santiago de Compostela in the north-western Spanish region of Galicia.
