A Stage for All: Providing Accessibility in the Arts
Deanna Tillisch, President and CEO of United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF), is on a mission to make the magic of the arts available to all. When her daughter Kasey was born with a chromosome deletion that resulted in cognitive and physical disabilities, there was one thing that allowed Kasey to express herself: music. Inspired by the impact that the arts had on Kasey, UPAF's theme for 2020 is "A Stage for All" which focuses on inclusivity and diversity in the community. Carmen Pitre with Sojourner Family Peace Center joins Deanna to share how her organization has been able to be a part of this important mission. UPAF's campaign launch event is at Skylight Music Theatre on Tuesday, March 3, at 5:30pm. To donate to Kasey's Fund or learn more information, go to UPAF.org/KaseysFund.
