The Search for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Student of the Year
Cancer is one of the leading causes of death, and this generation is trying to put an end to it. With the Leukemia and Lymphona Society's Students of the Year program, young student leaders are making an impact in the community and in their own personal lives. Candidates lead teams, meet with businesses, plan events, and secure sponsorships in a seven-week fundraising challenge. Joining us to talk about the impact of this program is Liz Klug along with co-candidates Elizabeth Merz and Georgia Barczak. The Students of the Year campaign started January 21 and ends March 12 with a Grand Finale Celebration event to recognize and showcase each student's leadership skills. If you would like to support or learn more about any of the students' campaigns, visit StudentsOfTheYear.org. If you would like to donate to Elizabeth and Georgia's campaign, head to their fundraising page: events.lls.org/wi/milsoy20/cousinscause
