NBC26 Storm Shield Forecast
Heavy snow yesterday night into early this morning is moving out of the area. 1-8" wet heavy snow accumulated. It would be best to shovel this sooner than later since temperatures will be dropping tonight, freezing that wet heavy snow. We are going to turn mostly sunny by the afternoon with highs in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Winds will come in out of the west around 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Tonight, cold air will reinforce itself with temperatures falling to near 0. Winds will blow out of the northwest around 5 to 15 mph. A Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for Langlade county. Wednesday and Thursday will have highs back in the low/mid teens. Wind chills will be well below zero both mornings. We get back into the 30s by Saturday and possibly breaking 40 by early next week.
