Baby Elephant Born After Two-Year Pregnancy

This adorable baby elephant has just been born in Zurich zoo in Switzerland after it's Mum carried it for almost two years.

The birth went smoothly for the baby's mother, the 35-year-old elephant Indi, with the baby elephant arriving in the early hours of the morning at the zoo's Kaeng Krachan Elephant Park.

A zoo spokesman said the elephant calf weighs in at 150 kilogrammes and is already walking around, with mother and baby doing well. Also in the enclosure during the birth was Indi's other daughters, Chandra and Omysha.
