He's teaching craft beer making at Trocaire College
Erik Coleman is kicking off the new year with a new teaching position at Trocaire College. With more than twenty-five years experience in the craft beer business, Erik was the perfect candidate to take over the college's Brewing/Distilling program. As beer lovers know, Buffalo has a rich history of beer making. At one time the city was host to thirty breweries. According to Erik the craft beer business is back and still growing strong in Western New York, saying " nationwide craft beer has just exploded, going from two thousand to eight thousand breweries in the last ten to fifteen years." The Spring semester starts in February and there will be three classes offered: Intro To Brewing, Sensory Evaluation of Beer and Science of Brewing and Distilling. The classes are held at Trocaire's Transit Road location and begin in early February. You can get more info and sign up for classes at the Trocaire College website.
