According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, McDonald’s workers helped rescue a lady who happened to be pleading for help in a Lodi restaurant on Christmas Eve.

A little after 2 p.m on Tuesday, a woman entered McDonald's. “She told the employees at the counter that she needed help,” said San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrea Lopez. “She needed them to call 911 to hide her and then she used the restroom here at this location.”

Later it was determined that the woman was being kidnapped by 35-year-old Eduardo Valenzuela, a convicted felon. The victim informed the deputies that Valenzuela had been violent with her and threatened to shoot her.
