NBC26 Storm Shield Forecast
Some may see some flurries or a few snow showers this afternoon as a cold front makes it's way across the state. A dusting to 1/2" is possible....especially the farther north you live. Today's high will be in the mid-30s. Tonight, a few lingering flurries or a snow shower is possible through the evening. Any additional accumulation should be minor if anything. Lows will be in the mid-teens. Friday will be breezy to start and a little cooler with highs in the mid/upper 20s. A dry stretch of weather carries over into the first half of the weekend with no significant snow or rain currently anticipated. Sunday, there is a chance of a light wintry mix/rain with highs around 40. There will be batch of accumulating snow that moves through Monday or Monday night, then some big changes after that system rolls through. The long range computer forecast models are in agreement that a batch of FRIGID air will move in next week. Highs on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday could be running 20-30° below normal.
