The Colorado Department of Transportation says westbound Interstate 70 at Beaver Brook – just east of Idaho Springs – is expected to re-open by 6 p.m. after rockfall mitigation closed the highway for most of the day. The eastbound lanes of I-70 reopened just after 3 p.m. after being closed for about three hours.
