'Joker' To Cross $1 billion Mark At Box Office

"Joker" is set to become the first R-rated movie to make $1 billion at the global box office on Friday.
This is despite the fact that the ultra-violent movie wasn't even released in China.
Three other DC superhero movies made it $1 billion: "The Dark Knight," "The Dark Knight Rises," and "Aquaman."
A sequel isn't in the works, but director Todd Phillips recently hinted at what he'd like to see one.
Business Insider reports he stated it "would have to have some thematic resonance in a similar way."
"Joker" cost just $55 million to produce, making it far more profitable than other superhero movies.
