Raising Breast Health Awareness Among African American Women
The group Nurses Affecting Change is working to improve survival rates for black women with breast cancer who live in Milwaukee's poorest neighborhoods. They offer personalized breast health education and breast cancer screenings. The group has partnered with ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis to further this mission. Joining us to discuss this incredibly important topic is Ellen Friebert Schupper from ABCD. For more information about breast health among the African-American women in Milwaukee, visit the SisterPact website at SisterPact.com. If you or someone you know has been affected by a breast cancer diagnosis, ABCD can help. ABCD’s free services are available at any time; from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond. Call (414) 977-1780 or visit ABCDbreastcancersupport.org. And for more stories of the important work being done through ABCD, visit the ABCD YouTube Page.
