Singer songwriter Joe West from Nashville TN has teamed up with Milwaukee filmmaker Warren Matson to create a documentary “A Song can Change A Life “. This short documentary features his parents place in Americana Music History as the first black Country Western duo. This film also takes us on a personal Journey of Joe’s navigation through racism and a reconciliation he experienced with his father, Sarge. Joe joins us to discuss the film and his family's legacy. "A Song Can Change a Life" premieres this Saturday, November 2 at 7:30pm at The Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.
