24
"Remembering Bronzeville" is a locally-produced documentary film that looks at the creation and destruction of Milwaukee’s original African American neighborhood, centered on Walnut Street, during the 1940s and 50s. The film includes interviews with folks who lived in the neighborhood during that time. Joining us to discuss the film and why it is important and relevant today are the husband and wife documentary filmmaking team of Professor Karen Slattery and Mark Doremus. You can see "Remembering Bronzeville" on October 31 at 7:30pm on Milwaukee PBS.
