Bed Bath and Beyond removes black jack-o'-lanterns from website over blackface complaints

Halloween decorations on display at a New York law office caused a controversial stir in the community.

A set of three black jack-o'-lanterns on display outside the law office, which are painted black with white eyes, nose and mouth, garnered complaints that they were racially insensitive, according to reports.

“We understand that someone complained about them and so once we got word of that we immediately took them down," Mary Marzolla, a partner at the law firm, told News 12 Westchester.
