Lana Tran is this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education winner congratulations! Lana - "Thank You!" Bob - "We have a video from your nominator, take a look." Jennifer Cathey - “Hi! She provides her students with a safe comfortable and loving place to learn where they are free to make mistakes, laugh and have fun!” Bob - "What goes through your mind when you see that?" Lana - "My Children" Bob - "It doesn't sound like teaching is a job for you." Lana - "It is not, it is a passion for me it's what I look for every single day when they come in, first thing in the morning when I greet them is when I want to see that smile, that happy smile that they are excited to be there, and it makes a world of difference for me." Lana Receives a $1500 check from the Michigan Lottery and her class at Knapp Forest Elementary School receives a $500 Grant. Excellence in Education award sponsored by the Michigan Lottery, providing more than 23 billion dollars to public education since 1972
